Realize.

Realize you are a sinner. The Bible says, "There is none righteous, no not one" (Romans 3:10). "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). We all have sinned and therefore we have been separated from God and fallen short of His heaven. The Bible continues to say, "For the penalty of sin is death…" (Romans 6:23). Because of our choice to sin, we deserve to be punished. This punishment is death! Because man has an eternal soul, the word "death" in Rom. 6:23 refers to eternal separation from God!

Recognize.

Recognize that the Son of God died on the cross for you! The last thing God the Father wants is to be eternally separated from the ones He loves. So He sent His Son to make a way for you to be forgiven. The Bible tells us, "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18). Because of His incredible love for you, Jesus bled and died in your place. Can you imagine God bleeding for you? The "Just One" endured the awful penalty of death for you! He took the punishment for your sins! Now there is a way for you to be forgiven and miss the eternal death of hell. Because of Christ's work on the cross, a holy God will now accept you if you will…

Repent.

Repent from your old ways of thinking. The word "repent" literally means, "to change your mind." The Bible tells us, "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19). God commands people everywhere to repent. So you need to be willing to turn away from sin and turn to God. This does not mean you have to stop sinning before God will accept you! It is rather a willingness to turn away from what is wrong. It is essential that you come to him as you are. Don't try "to clean up your life" before you come to God. Instead, receive Christ and allow Him to do the cleansing. Jesus said, "All the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out" (John 6:37).

Receive.

Receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. The Bible says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12). Notice it is "receiving" and "believing" in Christ that will make you a child of God; not "being good"! The Bible says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Ephesians 2: 8-9). Salvation from eternal death is as easy as receiving Jesus Christ by faith. When you put your trust in Him and what He did for you on the cross, He will forgive all your sins, past, present and future! Wow! What love!

Let's Pray! Would you consider praying and receiving Christ right now? If you are willing, with all sincerity pray…

"Lord Jesus, I realize I am a sinner and deserve to be punished. But, I believe you love me and took the punishment of death on the cross for me. I am willing to turn from sin and to You. I ask You now to forgive me and save me from eternal death. I receive you now. Come into my life and be my Lord. Amen."
